About this skill

MSPOT Generator

What is MSPOT?

One-page strategic clarity (from HubSpot):

  • Mission: Why we exist (rarely changes)
  • Strategy: How we'll win this period
  • Projects: The 3-5 big bets
  • Omissions: What we're explicitly NOT doing
  • Tracking: How we'll measure success

Why It Works

  1. Forces Omissions: Saying NO is harder and more valuable
  2. Limits Projects: 3-5 max prevents spreading thin
  3. One Page: If it doesn't fit, it's not clear
  4. Trackable: Decision-useful metrics only

Output Format

═══════════════════════════════════════════════
MSPOT: [Name]
Period: [Timeframe] | Owner: [Person]
═══════════════════════════════════════════════

MISSION: [One sentence: Why this exists]

STRATEGY: [2-3 sentences: How we'll win]

PROJECTS (3-5 max):
1. [Name] - Outcome: [X] - Owner: [Y] - Due: [Z]
2. [Name] - Outcome: [X] - Owner: [Y] - Due: [Z]
3. [Name] - Outcome: [X] - Owner: [Y] - Due: [Z]

OMISSIONS:
✗ NOT [X] - Because: [reason]
✗ NOT [Y] - Because: [reason]

TRACKING:
Lead: [Activity] → Target: [X]
Lag: [Result] → Target: [Y] by [date]
═══════════════════════════════════════════════

Key Questions

SectionQuestion
Mission"If we succeed, what changes?"
Strategy"What's our unfair advantage?"
Projects"If only 3 things, which ones?"
Omissions"What are we tempted to do but shouldn't?"
Tracking"What number tells us we're winning?"

Integration

Compounds with:

  • pre-mortem-analyst → Pre-mortem each Project before committing
  • inversion-strategist → Invert to find Omissions
  • artem-decision-journal → Log major MSPOT decisions

nano-banana-pro

garg-aayush

Generate and edit images using Google's Nano Banana Pro (Gemini 3 Pro Image) API. Use when the user asks to generate, create, edit, modify, change, alter, or update images. Also use when user references an existing image file and asks to modify it in any way (e.g., "modify this image", "change the background", "replace X with Y"). Supports both text-to-image generation and image-to-image editing with configurable resolution (1K default, 2K, or 4K for high resolution). DO NOT read the image file first - use this skill directly with the --input-image parameter.

pdf-to-markdown

aliceisjustplaying

Convert entire PDF documents to clean, structured Markdown for full context loading. Use this skill when the user wants to extract ALL text from a PDF into context (not grep/search), when discussing or analyzing PDF content in full, when the user mentions "load the whole PDF", "bring the PDF into context", "read the entire PDF", or when partial extraction/grepping would miss important context. This is the preferred method for PDF text extraction over page-by-page or grep approaches.
